MWP Member Profile
Rachel J. Allyn Ph.D., L.P.
I have been lucky enough to work in the field of psychology for over 12 years, providing services with diverse clientele in a broad range of settings and regions in the United States. Raised in Minnesota, I received a Bachelor’s degree from Williams College in Massachusetts. I continued training at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis before receiving my Ph.D. in 2005 from the California School of Professional Psychology in San Francisco. I then spent several years in Utah focusing on psychotherapy, psychological testing, teaching as a professor, and becoming certified as a yoga instructor. My professional and personal experience of being a psychologist, yoga instructor, and lifelong athlete have strengthened my ability to help others. I am dedicated to promoting compassion and mindfulness as a source of healing. Best of all, my clients remark about how approachable and authentic they find me and this leads to a relationship of trust and teamwork.
