Purpose: Minnesota Women in Psychology (MWP) promotes the professional development of all women in the mental health professions, informs members about ideas and issues which affect women, develops network and support-group systems, and takes action in the best interest of Minnesota women.

Membership Application
The MWP Membership is good for one year from the month of registration or renewal.
Membership Categories:
Regular Members
1) Hold either a Master’s or Doctoral degree in one of the fields of psychology or a related field (e.g. counseling and guidance, family studies, human services, etc.) from a regionally accredited institution or
2) Have been licensed in Minnesota in one of the fields of psychology. This includes Psychologists, Social Workers, Marriage & Family Therapists, Licensed Professional Clinical Counselors, Licensed Professional Counselors, School Psychologists and Counselors, Psychiatric Nurses etc.
Student Members
Student members are women who are in the process of becoming a licensed mental health professional who have not yet earned a graduate degree. Student members do not vote.
Membership Dues:
Regular and Student Members:
• Income over $50,000 – dues are $80
• Income from $30,000-50,000 – dues are $65
• Income under $30,000 – dues are $50
• Student/minimally employed – dues are $30
Annual dues are based on a sliding scale according to individual gross annual income.
The MWP memberships are for one year from the month of registration or renewal.
The MWP printed 2012-2013 Membership and Specialties Directory will be finalized on November 1, 2011. All who are current members on November 1, 2011, will have their information included in the printed directory. The on-line directory can be updated as information changes.
