My practice in the Twin Cities area began in 1988. Born and raised in India, I got my PhD from Iowa State University, and, have also worked in Kingston, Jamaica, Calgary, Canada, and Melbourne Florida.
My theoretical orientation is integrated (combining many different therapy types to customize psychotherapy to each client’s specific needs). The primary focus of my work is on the mental health of children, teenagers, parents, and, mentally-healthy family-function. Other areas of her interest are multicultural populations, identity in teenagers and young adults, as well as premarital and marital counseling. Individual, family, couples and group psychotherapy as well as consultation for all ages and cultures are provided. I am able to communicate also in several languages from India (Hindi, Urdu, Gujarati, Punjabi, Bengali, Bhojpuri, Marwadi /Rajasthani, Malvi and Marathi).
Currently, I have a safe & HIPAA complaint platform for tele-behavioral therapy also.
